We had lunch here yesterday; more wonderful eats from this tiny, hidden JEWEL ! The old sign has weathered out, there is little off-street parking; but it was packed with knowledgeable diners from around the area. Cajun accents were all over & everyone seemed very happy to be there. We had shrimp cocktails & seafood gumbo, which were excellent. Our tab was tiny, compared to larger cities. Don't miss the "St. John" ! Rick

Recommended by a friend. I was very impressed by the quality and the taste of the food, and the price. The owner came to the table several times with suggestions and to make sure everything was good. I highly recommend this place, and am looking forward to returning.

Absolutely adorable cottage and quaint Cajun atmosphere. Fried shrimp was excellent. Catfish plantation was delicious and highly recommended. Prices were good. Staff was friendly, quick and knowledgeable of all dishes. Worth the drive to Saint Martinville!!!

Had a taste of Steak, gumbo, crab cakes-Awesome but when I ordered 1/2 fried crawfish and 1/2 crawfish étouffée I got crawfish stew with heavy roux! That's not an étouffée disappointed when waitress said that's how they make étouffée...

Good little place, with great service and decent food. I'd never had alligator and frogs legs, so I did here and enjoyed them both. A-OK. I'd eat here again in a minute and would recommend this to anyone. The place has style.

St Johns was recommended to us by a tourist guide at the Atchafalaya center. Our waitress Charlotte guided us to the crab cakes (best ever eaten), ribeye and finished with bread pudding that was incredible. We split the entrees so we both could enjoy. Steal was very good too! Don't miss dining here!

Average food. Service is fine, but it is overpriced.

A small town restaurant with great food, family atmosphere, & great staff. Come early the locals really pack in this place. Some if the best Shrimp Gumbo I have ever had. The bread pudding with the owners special rum sauce rivals anything I ever had in New Orleans. If you want great Cajun food or steaks this is the place to come without bending your wallet over backwards. I travel a lot and I am usually very critical of restaurants in general but this one makes the top of my "A" list
